What We Do

Thoughtful removal, every time

01
01 / 04

Selective Demolition

Precise removal of specific elements — walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures — while protecting the structure and finishes that stay. This is surgery, not sledgehammers.

Material Recovery

Old-growth timber, vintage hardware, cedar boards, Douglas fir flooring — materials that cannot be sourced new. We identify, remove, and store salvageable materials for reuse in your project or resale.

Waste Reduction

What cannot be salvaged is sorted and diverted responsibly — wood waste, metals, concrete, drywall, and hazardous materials handled through the correct waste streams. We target 90% diversion from landfill.

How It Works

Our deconstruction process

01
Assessment

Site Survey

We walk the structure with you before a single thing is touched. Salvage opportunities are identified, hazardous materials assessed, and a deconstruction sequence documented that protects what stays and recovers what can be reused.

Half day to 1 day
02
Hazardous Materials

Asbestos & Remediation

Older coastal buildings often contain asbestos, lead paint, or mould. We coordinate with licensed abatement contractors to safely remove hazardous materials before deconstruction begins — a step that cannot be skipped.

1 to 5 days depending on scope
03
Salvage

Material Recovery

Fixtures, hardware, flooring, timber, and cladding are carefully removed and catalogued. Salvaged materials are sorted for reuse in your new build, donation to local reuse centres, or sale — keeping value in materials that still have it.

1 to 4 days
04
Deconstruction

Structural Removal

Systematic removal of the structure in the planned sequence — roof, walls, floor systems, and foundation elements as required. Waste is sorted on site into bins by material type to maximise diversion from landfill.

1 to 2 weeks depending on structure size
05
Completion

Site Handover

Final site clean, debris removal, and a walkthrough confirming the site is ready for the next phase. We provide a waste diversion summary documenting what was recovered, recycled, and diverted from landfill.
